INGREDIENTS:
bread - 4 (cut into triangular pieces)
chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
asofoetida/perungaya thool - 1/2 teaspoon
baking soda/powder - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
salt - 1 teaspoon (to taste)
water - as required
oil - for frying
PROCEDURE:
1. Mix all the ingredients(except bread) to form a batter.(little watery as aapam mavu)
2. Place a kadai in stove and put oil into it.
3. When oil is hot,dip the bread pieces in the besan batter and deep fry it in the oil to get golden brown bajji's.
4. Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
